Upstate to Perform at 1927 Society Concert Series

An intimate concert experience presented by the Birthplace of Country Music Museum

Bristol, Tenn./Va. (May 22, 2019) – Presented by the Birthplace of Country Music, the 1927 Society Concert Series offers more than great live music – it’s an all-out catered affair that includes drinks and an intimate concert experience in the “acoustically perfect” Performance Theater at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Historic Downtown Bristol. It’s an occasion to get gussied up for date night with your significant other or an opportunity to make lasting memories with good friends. Either way you go, 1927 Society Concerts are truly special events where fans also have the opportunity to meet and connect with the musicians who perform.

On Saturday, June 22, 2019 the 1927 Society Concert Series will feature a jazzy, folk-pop ensemble from New York’s Hudson Valley called Upstate.

Upstate’s retro, acoustic instrumentation blends elements of folk, bluegrass, jazz, and rock. Fans of Lake Street Dive will appreciate Upstate’s genre-bending style; fans of Lucius will appreciate the band’s three-part harmonies.

As Upstate’s stock continues to rise, opportunities to see them perform in smaller venues may be getting farther and fewer between. The 1927 Society Concert series provides one of the best opportunities to experience this up-and-coming act in one of the best sounding venues in the region.

Two more 1927 Society Concert dates have been released with exclusive ticket sales offered to members of BCM’s 1927 Society. On Saturday, August 24 Hank, Pattie, & The Current will perform; tickets go on sale to the public Monday, June 24. Front Country headlines the series on Saturday, November 23 with tickets on sale to the public Tuesday, October 1.

Tickets to the 1927 Society Concert featuring Upstate are on sale now to the public for $80 plus Bristol, Virginia admission tax and ticketing fee. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for attendees to enjoy drinks and catering prior to concert at 7:00 p.m. Ticket holders must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license to consume alcohol.
