Renown Singer/Songwriter Ed Snodderly to Teach Songwriting Camp at the Museum

Ed Snodderly

The Birthplace of Country Music is thrilled to announce that East Tennessee native and renowned songwriter Ed Snodderly will be joining us as a songwriting camp instructor! Snodderly is a well-known educator, performer, songwriter, actor and co-owner of one of the longest running music venues in the country, The Down Home in Johnson City, Tennessee. The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville honored him by inscribing a verse of his song, “The Diamond Stream,” upon the wall in their Hall of Honor. Ed teaches dobro and guitar for ETSU’s Old Time program and the department’s very successful songwriting class. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from one of the most respected and original songwriters of our region.

Classes for the week-long Pick Along Summer Camp run from July 11-15, 2016 and will be available to children ages 10-14 and 15-17. Registration for the camp is still open and no previous music experience is required. Click here to learn more about our summer camps.
