Episode #109 “Ian Kirkpatrick & Sheila Kay Adams Mentor – Apprenticeship”
Today on Mountain Song and Story, I’ll be featuring a wonderful conversation with Ian Kirkpatrick and Sheila Kay Adams. They’ll be joining me to talk about their experience as part of a mentor apprentice team through the Folk and Traditional Arts Cross-Border Mentor Apprenticeship program from South Arts. They’ll be talking about their mentor and apprenticeship experiences which focused on Ballad singing in Appalachia, a tradition that goes back to the earliest Scottish and English settlers to the area. Tune in for a great conversation and of course music!
