The Birthplace of Country Music Museum will host “Lift Every Voice: A Conversation” on Thursday, November 17, 6—8:00 p.m.

Join members of our community and staff in a roundtable style discussion about the history of the African American community in Bristol through the mid-1900s. Participants include Dr. W. A. Johnson, pastor at Lee Street Baptist Church; Ms. Wilhelmina Banks, owner of the Nyumba Ya Tousi-Peacock Museum (African American art and artifacts); and Dr. Jerry Jones, professor at Emory & Henry College.

This event is free and open to the public; it is part of the “Lift Every Voice” series happening this fall at the museum.

More information will be added to this page as it develops.
