Groups & Tours
Plan Your Group Tour Experience
The Birthplace of Country Music Museum offers group tours to adult, motor coach, and student groups who schedule in advance. We have been visited by a variety of different groups, including civic and community organizations, social clubs, corporate outings, senior groups, book clubs, church groups, college classes, international groups, car clubs, and elementary, middle, and high school students.
Adult Groups
For our adult and motor coach groups, we offer two levels of guided tour: a shorter introductory tour and a one-hour tour; both guided tours give ample time afterwards to explore the many multimedia aspects of the museum and to visit the Special Exhibits Gallery. Tours focus primarily on Music History stemming from the Bristol Sessions; if your group has a specific interest, such as Technology and the role it played in the Bristol Sessions and the development of country music or the History of Bristol as a hub for Appalachian music and culture from 1927 until today, we can bring these topics more fully into the tour.
Student Tours
The Birthplace of Country Music Museum offers interesting and engaging field trips for K-12 and college students. Students can learn about the origins and impact of country music from the 1920s until today, the history and development of Bristol and Appalachia, and the role technology played in the early music industry and the 1927 Bristol Sessions. We can also customize your visit to tie into state standards and different curricula needs.
