The Birthplace of Country Music presents the RTE 23 Listening Room concert series featuring Mama Said String Band Saturday, June 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Mountain Rose Vineyards in Wise, Virginia.
Mama Said String Band is a five-piece group based out of Louisville, Kentucky. Their combined musical backgrounds, spanning multiple cultures, styles and genres, with a strong focus on vocal harmony, create a unique medley of sound. They gather influence from bluegrass, folk, alternative, gospel, and R&B. Before they called themselves a band, they shared a love for campfire jams and traveling together playing music wherever they found themselves. Now, as a band, they hope to explore and expand their sound and wanderlust, while hanging on to the campfire roots.
