Farm & Fun Time ft. The Farmer & Adele and The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys

Radio Bristol Presents the January 2017 edition of everyone's favorite live radio experience, Farm & Fun Time live from the Birthplace of Country Music Museum featuring music acts The Farmer & Adele and The Po' Ramblin' Boys. The monthly program takes place on Thursday, January 12 in the Performance Theater at the museum at 7:00 p.m. and the doors open at 6:30 p.m.

AAME Speaker Series: Banjo Romantika: American Bluegrass Music & the Czech Imagination

The Arts Alliance Mountain Empire has partnered with the Birthplace of Country Music Museum and the William King Museum of Art to present its 2016-2017 Speaker Series. Five speakers will present six talks around the common theme: "Art in Appalachia, Appalachia in the World." A number of events will be held over the course of the series including a film screening of "Banjo Romantika: American Bluegrass Music & The Czech Imagination" at the museum on Tuesday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m.

Radio Bristol Premieres: Jenni Lyn & Old Salt Union

Radio Bristol Premieres focuses on new recordings and projects from nationally recognized artists debuted before a live audience in the Performance Theater at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. Thursday, March 17 Jenni Lyn Gardner and Old Salt Union will introduce new music on the show.

Shape Note Sing

The Old Field Singers will lead a Shape Note Sing in the Christian Harmony style (as opposed to Sacred Harp) at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum March 25. The event is free and open to everyone of all ages. Participants will learn the tradition of shape note singing in a group with no experience necessary.
