Education and Outreach Archivist from East Tennessee State University's Archives of Appalachia explores the significant history of the studio where Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys and Jim Lauderdale recorded the GRAMMY Award-winning album "Lost in the Lonesome Pines," and many, many others.
Aimed at toddler-age children and their grown-ups, we will gather on the first Friday of each month to read a music or Appalachia-related storybook, sing along with WBCM Radio Bristol show host Ella Patrick, and enjoy a related activity or coloring sheet. There is no cost to attend.
Join us for our engaging and educational Teacher In-Service Workshops on July 14 (elementary) and July 15 (middle and high school) and receive six (6) hours of professional development credit!

The Birthplace of Country Music Museum, in partnership with the East Tennessee Bluegrass Association, hosts a monthly gathering of local musicians for a free bluegrass jam session every fourth Saturday at the museum, 3-5 p.m.
