Calling all local songwriters! The Birthplace of Country Music is hosting a qualifying round for the 2023 Tennessee Songwriters Week!
Time to 'do si do!' You're invited to a square dance at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum!
Be part of the studio audience for WBCM Radio Bristol's cornerstone program that features an array of fine roots music artists, heartwarming humor, and much more!
Join us in person or via Zoom for the museum's monthly Speaker Session. The program is free and open to the public.
Aimed at toddler-age children and their grown-ups, we will come together on the first Friday of each month for a music or Appalachia-related storybook, a tune or two with WBCM Radio Bristol's Ella Patrick, and a related activity or coloring sheet.

The predecessor to bluegrass and country music, old-time music has been passed down for generations. However, the stories of women within the genre are not well-known. Many of these hidden heroines faced fierce opposition against playing music in public or at home, either by their churches or their husbands. This special exhibit gives voice to women who impacted the genre and spotlights the artists who are carrying on these traditions today.
