Join us for a FREE screening of the Smithsonian Channel documentary Black in Space: Breaking the Color Barrier, which explores the untold story of the decades-long battle between the U.S. and the Soviet Union to be the first superpower to bring diversity to the skies, told by the Black astronauts and their families who were part of this little known chapter of the Cold War.

The Birthplace of Country Music Museum, in partnership with the East Tennessee Bluegrass Association, hosts a monthly gathering of local musicians for a free bluegrass jam session every fourth Saturday at the museum, 2 - 5 p.m.
