Doors Open Downtown

In a cross-promotional effort between Bristol's main street program and our downtown merchants, Birthplace of Country Music Museum and The Museum Store will stay open until 8:00 p.m. on the first Friday of each month.

The weekend of October 12–14 is the PUSH! Film Festival here in Historic Downtown Bristol, and the museum is one of the main venues for film screenings!

The Birthplace of Country Music Museum is now hosting a monthly gathering of local musicians for a full-on community jam session! These free jams are open to all ages and all skill levels; those interested in just coming along to listen to good music are also welcome!

Uncle Dave Macon Talk and Author Book-Signing

Michael D. Doubler, the author of Dixie Dewdrop: The Uncle Dave Macon Story and the great-grandson of Uncle Dave, will give a presentation in the museum's Performance Theater entitled “Uncle Dave Macon: Unknown Elements of Success.”
