Join us Tuesday, October 5, 7:00pm for our next Virtual Speaker Series, a chance to get spooky with Affrilachian storyteller Lyn Ford! Lyn will explore the importance of Affilachian storytelling within Appalachia communities and her own family, talk about the power of telling stories about “spookers and haints” and some of their origins and history, and share a tale or two with the audience to get us in the mood for the month of Halloween!
About Lyn Ford
Affrilachian storyteller Lyn Ford has been called one of the top 20 ghost story-tellers in the country. Lyn’s favorites: silly stories for kids, creepy tales for teens through adults, and original stories for everybody. She has appeared at numerous storytelling festivals, including Jonesborough’s National Storytelling Festival, and has written several books, including Affrilachian Tales, Beyond the Briar Patch, and Hot Wind, Boiling Rain. Lyn is also an Ohio teaching artist, author, laughter yoga teacher, and great-grandmother. You can learn more about Lyn’s work at her website here.
