The Birthplace of Country Music Museum’s Pick Along Summer Camps are back! Your child will have the opportunity to learn about Bristol’s important role in country music history and its lasting influence on the music of today through a variety of fun activities and guidance from our incredible instructors.
Week 2: July 9-13
Type: String Instrument Camp – Intermediate Level (for return campers and those that already have basic knowledge and skill with music)
Ages: 8-14
Children ages 8 to 14 will get expert instruction on the same style of instruments that were used in the 1927 Bristol Sessions recordings.
Intermediate-level campers will have the opportunity to advance their playing skills as an individual and as part of a group. In addition, all campers will get to explore the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, learn about the music of our region, get an introduction to our working radio station, and learn about other concepts and disciplines that make up the rich tapestry of country music.
Our intermediate-level Pick Along Summer Camp is designed for those that already have a basic knowledge of their instrument. If your camper is looking to gain more advanced instruction and experience in playing as a group, and if you have a desire to dig deeper into music history and skills, this is the place to be!
Class size is limited so register now to reserve space.
