Although known primarily as a Grammy Award-winning country music star, Marty Stuart is a master storyteller not only through his songs, but also through his revealing photographs. Join us on Friday, September 20 at 4:00pm for a conversation with Stuart about his American Ballads photography exhibit, now on display at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. We’ll explore his inspirations and influences, the subjects he’s met and photographed over the years, how he captures a subject’s inner story, and more. The beautiful exhibit catalog will also be on sale in The Museum Store.
Be sure to take the opportunity to visit the exhibit before or after Marty Stuart’s talk; admission to American Ballads is just $5.25 at the museum’s reception desk.
American Ballads: The Photographs of Marty Stuart was organized by the Frist Art Museum, Nashville, Tennessee. Special thanks to The Massengill-DeFriece Foundation for their support of the exhibit at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum.
