Since 1974, Virginia Humanities has awarded more than 3,500
grants to non-profit organizations exploring the history and
cultural traditions of Virginia and its communities and the
issues that matter most to Virginians. We hope to forge new
partnerships resulting in new grants to Southwest Virginia
organizations in 2020 and beyond.

Workshop Includes:

Lunch and a private tour of a new photo exhibition on our
Virginia Folklife Apprenticeship Program on display at the
Birthplace of Country Music Museum from March 6 to August
2, 2020. Over the past 18 years, this program has paired more
than 150 experienced master artists and apprentices to pass
along traditional art forms.
