Festival FAQs

HEALTH & SAFETY

Q

Are vaccines & negative COVID tests required/recommended?

A

We strongly encourage – but cannot require – getting a negative COVID test result within 72 hours of attending Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion to ensure your personal health and the safety of your fellow festivalgoers. We also strongly encourage and support everyone who is of age to get the vaccine to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Q

Are masks required/recommended?

A

We strongly encourage – but cannot require – vaccinated and unvaccinated festivalgoers to wear a mask in indoor venues, in crowded outdoor areas, and on shuttles. We also strongly encourage any unvaccinated festivalgoers to wear a mask at all times. Face masks will be available at all festival gates.

If in doubt, please mask up!

Q

Why isn't the festival requiring proof of vaccinations or negative test result for entry?

A

One of the things that make Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion special is our unique location along State Street, which separates Tennessee and Virginia. The cities provide public, outdoor spaces and resources (public safety workers, EMS) in partnership with festival organizers, Birthplace of Country Music (BCM), for the event. Indoor venues are owned and controlled by private businesses.

BCM has had numerous conversations with our local, regional and state leaders concerning the possible requirement for our festival patrons at the festival to either provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours of attending the festival.  We have concluded that we cannot impose such a requirement as it is specifically prohibited by Tennessee state law (Senate bill no. 858 section 6).

Q

Do you offer hand sanitizing stations?

A

We encourage all festivalgoers to take frequent hand-washing breaks and to bring hand sanitizer with them for when they don’t have access to one of our many hand sanitizer stations or a restroom. The festival will provide hand sanitizer stations throughout the footprint of the festival.

Q

Should I practice safe distancing?

A

Yes.

Please look out for yourselves and fellow festivalgoers by keeping plenty of space around you while enjoying Bristol Rhythm.

Q

What about the cleanliness of Port 0 Lets?

A

Our portable restroom supplier will be conducting sanitation checks and cleanings regularly throughout the festival weekend.

OTHER POLICIES

Q

Can I bring a cooler?

A

Sorry, no coolers allowed, but we recommend bringing a portable water bottle to refill as needed.

Q

Can I bring my pet?

A

The festival is not a safe space for your family pet. It’s loud and the weather is unpredictable, also there’s little green space. We understand that Downtown residents must take their pets outside for potty breaks, we just ask that you please pick up after your pet.

Service animals are welcome at the festival.

GATES

Q

When do festival gates open?

A

Friday festival gates open at 3:00pm, Saturday at 9:00am, Sunday at 10:00am.

How can my band get booked for the festival?

A

We have an active Music Committee that is always exploring and researching.  If they are interested in discussing an offer with you or your band, they will reach out to you. Thank you for your understanding.
