America 250 in Bristol, TN-VA

Celebrating America 250 with the Museum

Join us as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States! The Birthplace of Country Music Museum is proud to be a part of this historic milestone of America’s Semiquincentennial celebrating the rich tapestry of American culture through music, storytelling, and community engagement.

Throughout the year, we will host a series of exciting events that highlight the profound connections between country music and the American spirit. From live performances to interactive exhibits that explore the history of our nation and its musical heritage, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Be on the lookout for more information regarding exciting traveling exhibits coming to the museum this year – including Give Me Liberty: Virginia and the Forging of a Nation and We the People, both from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture – and Songs of the Revolution(s), a music and spoken word program created in partnership between the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, the Crooked Road, Mountain Empire Children’s Choral Academy, and Theatre Bristol.

In addition to our museum events, the Bristol region will come alive with a variety of festivities that honor our country’s legacy. Experience parades, festivals, and educational programs that showcase the vibrant culture and history of our community.

Whether you’re a long-time country music fan or new to our heritage, we invite you to celebrate with us as we reflect on our past and look forward to the future. Together, let’s make this America 250 anniversary a memorable and inspiring celebration!

Stay tuned for updates on upcoming events and programs as we honor our nation’s history and the music that defines us.
