Become a Museum Volunteer

The Birthplace of Country Music Museum offers volunteer opportunities in all areas of the museum’s operation—from behind-the-scenes roles to working on the front lines. Our volunteer program prides itself on making the most of our volunteers’ time, knowledge, and interests.

Volunteers are needed to act as gallery assistants on a daily basis, help in archives and collections, provide curatorial assistance, support special events, assist in The Museum Store, help with administrative tasks, and lead guided tours in the role of docents.

The Birthplace of Country Music Museum offers three Museum Volunteer Training Sessions each year so potential volunteers can explore our programs to find their particular area of interest. Dates for each session are published on the Events page listings here on our website and in our e-newsletter.

Please email us at volunteercoordinator@birthplaceofcountrymusic.org.
